The centerpiece of the Moschino Pre-Fall 2023 collection show was held on the subway cars last month at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.

After the successful H&M collaboration, designer Jeremy Scott continued his streak of urban-cool style with giant accessories and chunky chain jewelry. Hoodies aplenty were paired with everything from sweatpants to skirts to chinos matched with Timberland-style work boots. There were also models dressed in their best tweed suit sets, which illustrated the wide breadth of New Yorkers who ride the subway.

The aesthetic of the collection included massive puffer jackets, a huge fake boombox, baseball caps that were blown-up to XL sizes, a supersized Moschino logo belt, and a backpack that was the size of another human. A few models carried absolutely massive Bic lighters that had been reimagined as evening clutches.

As models walked the runway before a front row, including Kacey Musgraves and Amanda Lepore, sitting in subway seats, dancers also came out busting moves, making for an authentic MTA experience.

„I wanted to offer a little bit of everything," said Scott in a statement. „A round-the-clock set of ensembles for city girls and guys who aren't afraid to go from the ballroom to the back room, then watch the sun come up over the East River. There's nowhere else in the world where you get that kind of energy and magic!"
