Gucci took over New York’s iconic Times Square for a major runway show led by creative director Demna. Set between Broadway and 7th Avenue, the show turned the famous neighborhood into an open-air fashion stage, with giant billboards broadcasting the collection live to crowds gathered on the sidewalks.
The Cruise collection marked Demna’s second presentation for Gucci since joining the house in July. The designer leaned into the glamour and sensuality long associated with the brand, showcasing satin fabrics, leather, leopard prints, and dramatic silhouettes inspired by the 1970s and 1980s.
References to Tom Ford’s era at Gucci were also evident throughout the collection, recalling one of the brand’s most celebrated periods. Celebrity appearances included Cindy Crawford, Tom Brady, and Paris Hilton, while guests such as Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian attended the event.
